Overview

Located in Southeast Asia, Malaysia is divided into two parts: the west coast is commonly known as the Malaysia Peninsula and the east coast is the Borneo Island.  Malaysia Peninsula is border by Singapore to the east which is home to 11 of 13 states of the country including the capital Kuala Lumpur. 

Most the tourists travel to Malaysia Peninsula. There are the capital - the symbol of the country with skyscrapers, or Malacca - the historic city where a lot of cultural heritage are preserved; Penang with the splendorous beauty of an "Oriental Pearl" which has long been regarded as the most attractive destination in Southeast Asia; the paradise of Langkawi island or 130 million-year-old tropical jungle Taman Negara. However, the eastern part of Malaysia is also worth visiting with abundant and majestic nature for those who love adventure and discovery, Niah - the world's longest cave with many mysteries inside or experience to live in one of the world's most unique homes of the native people. 

Malaysia is one of the most culturally diverse countries in the world. Malaysian culture was heavily influenced by the West after World War II but it also embraced the pure Oriental culture influenced by its neighbors such as China and India. 

The best time to visit Malaysia is from April to September when the average temperature ranges from 29 - 35 degree Celsius. From October to March is the wet season in Malaysia with sudden rains, so remember to bring along raincoats and umbrellas.
